Plan of Salvation

Jesus is God’s Son, my Savior and Friend. I believe that the Bible is God’s love letter to us. And I want to share the Good News with you.

God sent His Son, Jesus, who is without sin, to Earth to provide a way for us to be forgiven of our sins. He took all the sins of humanity, past, present and future, on His shoulders when He died on the cross. Romans 5:8, says, “But God proves his love for us in that while we still were sinners Christ died for us.” Jesus shed his innocent blood and provided a way for us to become right with God.

The Bible tells us in Romans 3:23 that “…all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Sin is an immoral act, a transgression against God. Sin corrupts our nature and separates from God. Basically, sin is anything we say, do, or think that displeases God. That displeasure separates us from God forever. However, in Romans 6:23, the Bible tells us, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

When Jesus shed his blood and died on the cross, He provided a way for us to be forgiven of our sins. Acts 3:19 says, “Repent, therefore, and turn to God so that your sins may be wiped out,” and John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.” Romans 10:13 says, “For ‘everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.’” So, if you believe that you are a sinner, and that Jesus died on the cross so that you may be saved, then all you must do is repent and claim Him as your savior.

Salvation is as easy as ABC. A, admit you are a sinner in need of forgiveness, B, believe Jesus Christ died on the cross so you could be forgiven of your sins, and C, confess that Jesus is Lord of your life and commit to follow Him. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God— not the result of works, so that no one may boast.” Isn’t this the best news ever?

Are you ready to accept Jesus as your Savior? If so, simply pray these words:

“Lord, Jesus, I am a sinner. I believe that you are the Son of God, that You came to Earth to die on the cross to save me from my sins, and that you rose from the dead. I ask that You please come into my life and make me a new creation. Please guide and direct me as my Savior and Lord of my life. In Jesus name, Amen.”

Welcome to the family of God! I would love to hear your story, and/or if you have any questions, please send me an email.

Your Sister in Christ Jesus,
